MEGAGAME MAKERS CONTROL SEMINAR

Presented by Jim Wallman

Huddersfield, 14th June 2016

The aim of these evening Control Seminar sessions is to develop our thinking and practice as members of a Megagame Control Team.

The sessions are designed to be as inclusive as possible and are suitable not only for experienced controls and those who've been Control just once – it will be useful for the complete beginners with no experience.

The evening will include sharing experiences in a practical and structured way and then practicing skills and methods in a series of hands-on roleplaying sessions (Can you handle “The Player Team From Hell”?)

Even those of us who have been Control in many many megagames will gain something from reflecting on our practice, how we manage situations and what communications skills and techniques we employ with players. And for those thinking of getting involved in running a megagame for the first time, this can also be helpful.

In practice, often Control only get to compare notes in a fairly loose way, down the pub after the game. Here we will be a bit more focussed on what we think might be good practice, and share tips and thoughts on the whole, often complex, business of running a megagame as well as putting some of this into practice in an entertaining way.

The session runs from 19.00 to 22.00, at The Media Centre, Huddersfield, on 14/06/16

Cost £20
